Nevis Banks
Nevis is found in the Caribbean, one third of the way from Puerto Rico and Trinidad/Tobago. Most of the population lives in the capitol city, Charlestown. Nevis airport can receive only small airships, for which reason heavier flights from the United States and Europe connect to Nevis by way of St. Kitts. St. Kitts and Nevis obtained full political independence within the Commonwealth of Nations in 1983. Nevis received autonomy within the Federation, for which it has its own Legislature and Cabinet. St. Kitts and Nevis count on an offshore legislation like the Federation, but Nevis also has its own legislation. Nevis is mostly concentrated on protecting its offshore assets. The law regarding Limited Liability Companies (LLC) has been very successful. The jurisdiction was put on the OECD s grey list in 2009, as a territory that wasnt committed to putting in practice the transparency standards required by the organization (a minimum of 12 Treaties for the exchange of information). Following this, the Federation signed 18 of these agreements and has been a part f the OECDs white list since the end of 2010.
